Learning Steps

1. After reading the words and explanations, you will make a list of words.
2. Divide the words in two columes: spoken and written.
3. List all the words under each category.
4. Study the words (meaning, pronunication, and characters).
5. Make flash cards with the words in characters on one side, and meaning translation and pronunication on the other side.
6. Look at each word and pronounce and say the English definition of that word.
7. This exercise can be done by two people: one picks a word and the other reads in Chinese and translate the word into English.
8. Switch roles.
9. You can arrange your words into the four meaning categories that we use in this chapter.
10. Find five new words per day.
11. Exchange the lists by the end of the first week.
12. Make a contest by the end of the second week, whoever knows the most words wins.
